Ashford, (nee Grimley), died at 12:10 o'clock yesterday morning at her home, 1221 Fifth avenue, of a complication of diseases. She was born in Birmingham, England, November 11, 1858, and had been a resident of this city since 1887. She is survived by her husband, Stephen Ashford, and by two daughters and a son, Miss Gertrude, at home; Mrs. Evelyn Batton, of this city, and Arthur William, a sailor in the United States navy, located somewhere in France. One sister survives, Mrs. W. H. Hardman, of this city. She was a member of St. Luke's Protestant Episcopal church. The funeral arrangements will be announced later. Ashford, of 1221 Fifth avenue, will be held tomorrow afternoon, the cortege to leave the house at 2:15 p.m. for St. Luke's Episcopal church, where services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Burial in Fairview cemetery.
