Ayers, 97, Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg, formerly of 305 Cherry St., Roaring Spring, died Thursday afternoon, Jan. 15, 1998, at the home. She was born Feb. 17, 1900, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of William L. and Myrtle I. (Brown) Ayers. Miss Ayers was a life member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Roaring Spring, where she was a former Sunday school teacher for many years. She was formerly employed by Roaring Spring Blank Book Company for more than 40 years. She had taught at the Zeth Business School, Altoona, and had also served as tax assessor for the Roaring Spring Borough for many years. Miss Ayers attended Roaring Spring High School. She was a charter member of the Roaring Spring Business and Professional Women's Club and a member of the Rebecca Lodge, International Order of Odd Fellows and the Cove Republican Club. Miss Ayers enjoyed traveling, quilting and ceramics. Surviving is a brother, Glenn, of Lady Lake, Fla. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrisons Cove Home Chapel, Martinsburg. Arrangements by J. Gary Thompson Funeral Home, Roaring Spring. AYERS - Funeral services for Lena F. Ayers, a guest of Morrisons Cove Home, Martinsburg, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrisons Cove Home Chapel, Martinsburg, by the Rev. Lowell Witkovsky. Interment at Greenlawn Cemetery, Roaring Spring. Friends will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Morrisons Cove Home Chapel, Martinsburg. Arrangements by J.
