GEORGE BADWEY

  George Badwey, 79, of 3973 Sixth Ave., went home to be with his Lord Monday 
morning, July 9, 2001, at the Altoona Center for Nursing Care.  Mr. Badwey 
was born June 4, 1922, in Altoona, a son of the late Elias and Hannah Badwey.  
He attended Calvary Baptist Church.  Mr. Badwey retired from Amtran in 1987 
after 42 years of service.  Surviving are two sisters: Elizabeth and Kathryn; 
and a twin brother, Jack, all of Altoona.  At the request of the family, 
there will be no viewing or flowers.  Funeral services for family and friends 
of George Badwey will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the William G. Bigelow 
II Funeral Home, Altoona, by the Rev. Ronald R. Anderson.  Interment will be 
made at Alto-Reste Park.
