John William Baith, employed as extra motorman on the Altoona and Logan Valley Electric Railway company, died yesterday afternoon at the Mercy hospital shortly after he had been admitted at 4:15 o'clock. The cause of death is thought to be apoplexy. He was found unconscious at the home at 3 o'clock yesterday morning by his wife, and was taken later in the day to the hospital. He was born on March 30, in Huntingdon county, 56 years ago and had resided at Greenwood for the past 27 years. He was the son of George, deceased, and Sarah Baith, who survives with the wife, Mrs. Charlotte Anne Baith, and two daughters, Mrs. Mary Landis and Mrs. Nora Montgomery, both of this city. One sister, Mrs. Charles B. Botwright, of this city, also survives. He was a member of the Greenwood United Brethren church. The funeral arrangements will be announced later.
