The deceased was born near Loysburg, this county, fifty-nine years ago. He was a veteran of the civil war, having been a member of the Ninety-ninth regiment, Pennsylvania volunteers. He was a member of the German Baptist church and was one of Morrison's Cove's prosperous farmers. He was married to Miss Elizabeth Brumbaugh and to them were born five children. Mrs. Baker and three children survive - Mahlon, at home; Mrs. Jacob Greenleaf, of McKee's Gap, and Mrs. Frank Langham, of Newry. Bedford Gazette, Friday, January 31, 1902, page 1
