The manner in which Mr. Baker suffered the injury could not be learned as he has been in a semi-conscious condition since admission and physicians have been unable to learn the cause of the injury. Altoona Times, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday Morning, December 3, 1918 INJURIES PROVE FATAL John Baker of 611 Juniata street, who fell from a loaded stone car while on his way home from the local P.R.R. yards on Monday evening, receiving a fracture of the skull, died at the Altoona hospital yesterday afternoon at 12:55 o'clock, from the effects of the injury. The unfortunate man, who was aged 62 years, formerly lived at Ore Hill and had resided in Hollidaysburg a little over a year. He is survived by his widow and several step-children. He was a member of the Church of God of Hollidaysburg and the P.R.R. Relief association. The funeral arrangements have not been completed at this writing.
