McKiernan, of 1326 Third avenue, who, with his family had gone to Philadelphia on Tuesday afternoon, to attend the funeral of a nephew, Thomas Banholzer, who had died with the dread disease on Sunday evening. Before they arrived in Philadelphia, the young wife of their relative had died with the same disease. Mary T. Banholzer, who was Miss Mary Geib before her marriage, was aged 24 years and died at 6:30 o'clock on Tuesday evening. They had been married two years on last Saturday and are survived by one child, who is not expected to recover from the effects of the same disease, from which she is suffering. Two sisters of Mrs. Banholzer are also in a critical condition. Owing to the death of Mrs. Banholzer, the funeral of her husband was not held yesterday and they will be buried side by side on Saturday morning, following a requiem high mass in the Church of the Visitation, 1910 E. Lehigh street, Philadelphia. Interment will be made in the Holy Sepulcher cemetery. Mr. McKiernan will return to Philadelphia on Friday evening to attend the double funeral.
