Thomas Banholzer, a nephew of Mrs. T. McKiernan, of 1326 Third avenue, died at his home in Philadelphia on Sunday evening and his wife is lying at the point of death with the same disease. He was aged 27 years and expected to enter the army in the near future. He has a brother who is now in the service and is on the battle front in France. He is survived by his father, Paul B. Banholzer of Huntingdon street, Philadelphia, his wife, who is seriously ill with the dread influenza and one daughter. His mother was Miss Grace McHugh of this city before her marriage to Mr. Banholzer and resided in this city for many years. She died about three years ago. The young man and his wife are well known in this city, having visited here on many while [sic] in this city as a telegraph operator for the Pennsy. Mr. and Mrs. T. McKiernan and daughter left yesterday afternoon to attend the funeral which will be held this morning at 8.30 o'clock. Interment will be made in Philadelphia.
