Barnhart, of 508 Sixth avenue, received a telegram announcing the death of his uncle, Captain John Barnhart, at Findlay, Ohio. His death was sudden. Deceased was born at Lancaster and was about 62 years of age. He was a veteran of the late war, having served in the three-month service with the Jackson rifles, and on being mustered out enlisted in the Seventy-ninth regiment Pennsylvania volunteers.
