"Papa" Baronner, 72, longtime Erie resident, died on Saturday morning April 22, 2006 while on vacation with his family in Florida. He was born in Tyrone, PA on October 22, 1933, a son of the late Hubert and Lillian Stoner Baronner. He lived in Erie since he was age 17. "Papa" was a strong man of God who was loved by all. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. His positive attitude towards life was apparent in all he did. An avid fisherman, he was a successful engineer and had worked at the GE for 40 years retiring in 1991. Papa was a lover of people and would help anyone in need. He worked as a volunteer for fourteen years at the Wayne Park Baptist Church Food Bank helping deliver food. Papa loved his church family, was a Deacon at Calvary Christian Center, and volunteered in many ministries. For the last seven years, as he courageously battled his own cancer, he was actively involved in the local Relay for Life. In his own words, he lived a wonderful life and "it was fun!" Although he will be dearly missed on earth, we look forward to being reunited with him in heaven for all eternity. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Patricia Gray Baronner; three daughters: Mary Pat Allen of Erie, Renee Majchrzak and her husband Rev. Greg Majchrzak of Erie, and Erin Lewis and her husband Greg of Erie; two sons: Thomas P.
