Barr of 2818 Beale avenue, died at her home at 9 o'clock this morning of a complication of diseases after a year's illness. She was born on June 28, 1873, a daughter of Edward and Catherine (Sprout) Trout, and had resided in Altoona all her life. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Harry and Francis Barr; one sister, Mrs. H. E. Burkett; two brothers, Walter and Joseph S. Trout, and two granddaughters, all of the city. Mrs. Barr was a lifelong member of the First United Brethren church, a member of the Doreen Rebekah lodge, No. 318, and the Dewey auxiliary, No. 46, to the United Spanish War Veterans. The body may be viewed at the home after noon tomorrow. Funeral services will be held at the home at 2.30 o'clock Thursday afternoon with Rev. R. E. Penick, pastor of the Second Avenue United Brethren church, officiating. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. Altoona Mirror, Monday, February 12, 1934
