All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Mrs. Matilda Barr, Widow of the late John Barr, who resided in this community for many years, died at her home in Saxton, Pa., on Monday evening, from injuries received in a fall. The deceased was born at Frankstown on December 2, 1816. The late John Brotherlin, of Hollidaysburg, was her brother. She is survived by four sons and one daughter, viz: Thomas, James and John, all residing at Saxton; Simon, of Altoona; and Mrs. Matthew Hunter, of Hollidaysburg. The remains were taken to Hollidaysburg from Saxton yesterday afternoon. The funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. Matthew Hunter, on Walnut street this afternoon, and will be conducted by the Rev. Luther F. Smith, pastor of the Methodist church.
