Maple Avenue Woman, 77, Dies

  Mrs. Clara Fern Barree, 77, of 2525 Maple Ave. died at 4:15 p.m. 
yesterday, May 11, 1976, at Altoona Hospital, where she was admitted 
April 5, after an extended illness.
  Mrs. Barree was a member of the Broad Avenue United Presbyterian 
Church.
  She was born April 17, 1899, in South Woodbury, a daughter of Mr. and 
Mrs. David Reffner, and married George P. Barree on July 8, 1916, in 
Cumberland, Md. Mr. Barree died Sept. 4, 1970.
  Surviving are two sons, Wilford W. and Robert P. of Altoona; four 
grandchildren, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Holsinger, Mrs. Elvina Grove 
and Mrs. Flossie Ott of Roaring Spring, and a nephew, William H. Wilt 
of Altoona, reared in the home.
  Friends will be received in the Warren H. Replogle Funeral Home from 
2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.
