BARRETT Mrs. Barrett, 90, a guest of State College Manor, formerly of Juniata, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 1982, in the manor, after a lengthy illness. She was born Oct. 13, 1891, in Roaring Spring, the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth (Hanley) Ayers, and married James Z. Barrett, who died Sept. 28, 1961. Surviving are nine children: Mrs. Elizabeth Forshey of Bellwood, William of Altoona, Mrs. Catherine Burk of Hollidaysburg, Harry, Mrs. Margaret Malovich and Mrs. Jean Johnsonbaugh of Juniata; Mrs. Sara Jane Clark of Warriors Mark, Mrs. Joan Brubaker of Lakewood, Calif., and Frank of Winchester, Calif.; a stepson, Arthur Carlin of Altoona; 57 grandchildren, 103 great-grandchildren and four great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Barrett was a member of the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Juniata; Methodist Circle and Juniata Civic Association Auxiliary. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Mauk & Yates Funeral Home, Juniata, and 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gethsemane United Methodist Church. BARRETT - Services for Sarah E. Barrett, formerly of Juniata, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Gethsemane United Methodist Church, Juniata, by the Rev. David Weaver. Interment in Blair Memorial Park, Bellwood. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home, and 11 a.m. until time of services Wednesday in the church.
