BARTHOLOMEW Of 209 Aldrich avenue, Llyswen, died at 12.30 o'clock Saturday morning while on a visit to the home of his nephew in Philadelphia. He was born in Pillar, Dauphin county, Nov. 21, 1860, the son of Charles and Rebecca (Shire) Bartholomew, and was a resident of Sunbury and Williamsport prior to taking up his residence at the home of his son in Altoona. He was a retired Pennsylvania railroad employe, retiring Aug. 1, 1929. Mr. Bartholomew was united in marriage with Ellen C. Conrad June 21, 1883. She preceded him in death July 11, 1927. Surviving are two sons, Bertram A. of Williamsport and Wallace E. of Altoona; t[w]o grandchildren, these sisters and brothers, Mrs. D. A. Zimmerman of Detroit, Mich., Charles Bartholomew of Sunbury and Percival Bartholomew of Philadelphia. Friends are being received at the Shipman funeral home in Sunbury after 7 o'clock this evening.
