He was born on April 20, 1889, the son of Jacob and Jennie Barto of Pennsylvania Furnace and was employed in the Fourth street plumbing shop of the Pennsy. He was married in March, 1916, to Miss Susanna Swartz, who survives, together with the parents, and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Della Swartz and Mrs. Mary Reffner, both of Altoona, Mrs. Lydia Bresler and Roy Barto, both of Pennsylvania Furnace and Calvin Barto of Dudley. He was a member of the Fairview Methodist church, Washington camp, No. 54, P.O.S. of A., and the Odd Fellows lodge at Pennsylvania Furnace. FUNERAL NOTICES Private funeral services will be conducted for Earnest Barto, at the home, 419 Twenty-second avenue at 2 o'clock, this afternoon. Private interment in Fairview cemetery.
