GEORGE W. BARTO

  George W. Barto, a well known Civil war veteran and for many years a 
resident of the city, died at the home of J. L. White, 1912 Fourth street, at 
11:40 o'clock last night of Bright's disease.  He was aged 78 years and 1 
month.  He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ida Mae Richards, of Osceola 
Mills, and four step-children, T. N. White, of Plumville, Indiana county; 
Mrs. B. F. Mulhollem, W. W. White and J. L. White, of this city.  The funeral 
arrangements will be announced later.

FUNERAL NOTICE.

  The funeral of George W. Barto, who died yesterday at his home, 1912 Fourth 
street, will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning from the residence.  Interment 
will be made in Fairview cemetery.
