Barto, a well known Civil war veteran and for many years a resident of the city, died at the home of J. L. White, 1912 Fourth street, at 11:40 o'clock last night of Bright's disease. He was aged 78 years and 1 month. He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Ida Mae Richards, of Osceola Mills, and four step-children, T. N. White, of Plumville, Indiana county; Mrs. B. F. Mulhollem, W.
