Baumgardner, A respected citizen of the east side, died at 8:20 this morning at his late residence, 828 Seventh avenue, of a complication of diseases resulting from a recent attack of the grip. Deceased was born in Cassville, Huntingdon county, July 26, 1850, and was therefore in his 43d year. He was a widower, his wife having preceded him to the grave some six months ago, since which time he has had the care of four children, Anna May, James A., Thomas R. and Priscilla, to whom he proved a kind father. He is also survived by his aged mother, now Mrs. Kate Agnew, by two brothers, S. M., of this city, and P. S., of Kansas, and two sisters, Mrs. Ella Bragonier and Mrs. Anna Claybaugh, both of this city. He was a charter member of Mountain City lodge, 837, I.O.O.F., and an attendant of the Memorial Baptist church.
