He was born in Altoona on [Oct. 8, 1877?, a son of William and Catherine Baumgardner, and was employed as a brakeman by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. He moved to New Enterprise about three years ago. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Loretta Baumgardner, three step-children, J.C. Frederick and Mrs. Muriel Kaylor of Altoona and Mildred P. Frederick of Philadelphia, and one sister, Mrs. ***** Davis of Altoona. Mr. Baumgardner was a member of the B. of R.T. and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. The body may be viewed at the home in New Enterprise until tomorrow evening when it will be removed to the ***den funeral home, where funeral services will be held at 2.30 o'clock Sunday afternoon. Interment will be made in Oak Ridge cemetery. He was aged 55. Mr. Baumgardner was employed as a brakeman by the Pennsylvania Railroad company. He moved to New Enterprise about three years ago and is well known there and in Altoona. He was a member of the F.R.R. Relief and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Gilden's funeral home, Eighth avenue and Fourteenth street, Altoona. Interment will follow in Oak Ridge cemetery. The body will be taken to the home at New Enterprise where it may be viewed today and Friday.
