Daughter followed mother in death within a period of twenty-four hours and the last member of the immediate family of the late Augustus V. Mrs. Mary Anne Shoenfelt Dively died at the home, 1521 Nineteenth avenue, at 7.53 o'clock yesterday morning, her demise being caused by a complication of diseases incident to her declining years. Anxiety caused by the prolonged illness of her only surviving daughter, Mrs. Beardsley, is thought to have hastened her death. Mrs. Beardsley, wife of Willard P. Beardsley, assistant engineer for the Altoona and Logan Valley Electric Railway company and well known as manager for many years of the old United Telephone company, died at the Beardsley home at 6 o'clock this morning after a lingering illness. Her condition had been serious for several months. Last of Family Mrs. Beardsley was the only surviving child of the three daughters, and one son born to Attorney and Mrs. A. V. Dively. Two daughters, Alice Gertrude and Olive Victoria, died in infancy, while a son, Edwin L. Dively, also an attorney-at-law and a member of the Blair county bar, died several years ago. Both mother and daughter held membership in the Reformed church, Mrs. Dively for more than sixty years and Mrs. Beardsley also for a long period of years. Both were devoted to their church and active in the work of the congregation. At the time of the deaths they were members of the Trinity Reformed church. A double funeral will be held at the Lafferty funeral home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, the time fixed for the funeral of Mrs. Dively following her death. Rev. J. M. [Pringle], pastor of Trinity Reformed church, will officiate at the services, assisted by Rev. Vernon D. Grubb, pastor of St. Paul's Reformed church in Juniata. Both funeral services and interment in Fairview cemetery will be private. The remains may be viewed by friends at the Lafferty funeral home at any time prior to the services. It is requested that friends omit all floral tributes. Mrs. Mary Anne Shoenfelt Dively was born in Taylor township, Blair county, on March 16, 1853. Her husband died seven years ago. Surviving are two brothers, and two sisters, George W. Shoenfelt of Roaring Spring, Jacob Shoenfelt, of the city, Mrs. Samuel Lynn of South Lakemont, and Mrs. Daniel H. Slick, also of the city. Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Dively Beardsley was born in the city on April 15*, 1871, and was united in marriage with Willard P. Beardsley on May 29, 1***. She is survived by her husband.
