GEORGE W. BECK

Of 2101 Sixth avenue, for many years engaged in the meat business in the city, 
died at his home at 4:35 o'clock this morning after an extended illness.  He was 
born in Hollidaysburg on Aug. 2, 1863, a son of Albert and Frances (Endress) 
Beck, but had resided in Altoona almost all his life.  Surviving are four 
sisters and one brother, Mrs. Freda Farabaugh of the city, Miss Mary Beck, at 
home, Mrs. Regina Bell and Mrs. Emily Storm of the city and Herman Beck of 
Philadelphia.  Mr. Beck was a member of the Sacred Heart church where the 
funeral will be held Monday morning with requiem mass at 9 o'clock.  Interment 
will be made in St. John's cemetery.  The body may be viewed at the home.
