All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ HENRY BECKMAN Henry Beckman, formerly of this city, died of diabetes at the Sandy Hook proving grounds at 6:30 o'clock Wednesday evening, after two weeks' illness. He enlisted in Pittsburg last April and later became a member of Company D, of the mechanical corps, in the testing branch of the service. He was born in this city 37 years ago and was the oldest son of Henry, deceased, and Sophie Beckman. His mother survives, residing at 1012 Sixteenth avenue, together with the following brothers and sisters: Henry, Frank and Mrs. Charles O'Brien, of this city, and Sister Remejia of St. Mary's, Pa. He was a member of the Catholic church and will be accorded a military funeral, which will take place at Latrobe today. Interment will be made there.
