At 6 o'clock Thursday morning Mr. David F. Beegle died at his home, 2414 Broad avenue. He had been seriously ill since December 24 last, when he was attacked with la grippe. Later he suffered with ulceration and hemorrhage of the stomach, which caused his death. Deceased was born near Sarah Furnace, in Blair county, June 2, 1834. Thirty-six years ago, he moved to Altoona, where he entered the jewelry business, starting in the room on Eleventh avenue which is now occupied by Rudisill Bros. Later he did business on Twelfth street, but about one year ago he sold out. On May 4, 1859, he married Miss Loretta Potter, at Potter's Mills, Bedford county. His wife and two daughters, Mrs. W. H. Wilkinson and Miss Minnie, survive him. These brothers also are yet living: George, of Duncansville, and William and Adam, of Kansas. Mr. Beegle was a Free Mason and was a life member of Juniata Lodge, No. 282, of Hollidaysburg. He was also a member of the First Lutheran church. Altoona Tribune, Thursday, February 16, 1899
