  A former well-known resident of Bedford County, Col. F. D. Beegle, 
died in Altoona last week, at the age of sixty-nine years.  He was born 
in Friend's Cove, Bedford County, and carried on the mercantile 
business for thirty years at St. Clairsville.  Subsequently he kept a 
hotel at Roaring Springs, Blair County.  Of late years he resided in 
Altoona, and was not engaged in any business.  He leaves eight 
children.  The remains was [sic] interred at St. Clairsville on Friday 
forenoon.
