FUNERAL OF FIREMAN BEERS.

  The body of A. J. Beers, who was killed on the railroad near 
Harrisburg, arrived in Altoona on St. Louis express last night.  The 
remains were prepared for burial by Undertaker Lafferty and this 
afternoon removed to the boarding place of the deceased, at 1116 Sixth 
avenue.  The funeral services will be conducted at the Second Lutheran 
church at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon, Rev. J. F. Hartman officiating, 
assisted by Rev. N. W. Schenk.  The interment will be made in Fairview 
cemetery.
