Beers died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Shivler, in Camden, N.J., while on a visit, Monday, April 1, 1918, aged 84 years. He was the son of William and Rebecca Beers, and was a cooper by trade. At one time he resided in Chicago, but had lived in Frenchtown for many years. Since his wife's death several years ago, he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. J. J. Sinclair, Academy hill, Frenchtown. He is survived by four daughters - Mrs. Shivler of Camden, Mrs. A. P. Brogan of Altoona, Pa., Mrs. D. F. Stahler of New London, Conn., and Mrs. J. J. Sinclair of Frenchtown, and a number of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services were held Friday morning at 10:30 at J. J. Sinclair's, Rev. J. C. French officiating.
