Bell, 72, of Middletown, formerly of Tipton died Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at 2:30 a.m. at HCR-ManorCare, Camp Hill. She was born December 9, 1932 in Altoona, a daughter of Clarence and Mary (Grager) Hamer. On March 28, 1952 in Cumberland, Maryland she married Charles Bell. He died May 28, 1996. Surviving are a daughter, Roni Sue Haynes and boyfriend Arthur of Elizabethtown; three sons, Charles D. Jr. and wife Debra of Hollidaysburg, Gregory A. of Middletown and Kevin Jon and fiancee Dee of Middletown; seven grandchildren, Melissa, Suzanne, Kathleen, Neilson, Kacie, Kensey and B.J.; two brothers, Harry M. "Buck" and wife Marjorie of Bellwood and Clarence "Chink" and wife Betty of Altoona and a sister, Labetta "Betz" Shawley and husband Dick of RD5, Tyrone. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Penny Lee and Kathy LuAnn and two brothers, Lawrence and James. She was formerly employed at Tyrone Hospital as a Nurse Aide. She was a member of the Middletown Moose and Middletown VFW. Elsie enjoyed her grandchildren and bingo. Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 5, 2005 at 10 a.m. at Feller Memorial Home with Rev. Norman E. Huff officiating. Interment will follow at Charlottesville Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial gifts may be extended to the family.
