HATTIE (SUNDY) BELL Of Eden Hill, Tyrone, RD 1, died unexpectedly at 7:50 p.m. yesterday in the Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon, where she was admitted Tuesday after an extended illness. She was born July 7, 1879, at Rock Spring, Centre County, a daughter of Jacob and Susan (Gummo) Sundy, and on Feb. 22, 1899, married George M. Bell, who died April 27, 1942. Surviving are eight children, J. Lynn of State College, Mrs. Jesse Marshall of Tyrone RD 4, Mrs. F. A. Franklin of Vestal, N.Y., Mrs. Earl Croyle of Lewistown, Mrs. John Weamer of Altoona, George H. of Woodbury, N.J., Robert M., at home, and Mrs. Boyd Metz of Tyrone; nine grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters and one brother, Mrs. Minnie Sager of Windber, Harry of Pine Grove Mills and Miss Ida of State College. A son, Clarence, and daughter, Margaret, preceded her in death. Mrs. Bell was a member of the Lower Spruce Creek Presbyterian Church, Ladies Aid and Missionary Society, the Hartslog Valley Grange, and Tyrone Gold Star Mothers, American War Mothers and American Legion Auxiliary.
