JOHN E. BELL

  While sitting on the front porch of his residence in Bellwood, Mr. John E. 
Bell, a well-known citizen of that place, died a 5.30 o'clock yesterday of 
paralysis, of which he had two previous strokes.  The deceased, who had a large 
acquaintance in this city, was aged 53 years.  He had formerly been engaged as 
a coal operator, but latterly had been living retired.  He was a member of the 
Tyrone lodge of Masons.  His wife and one son, Robert B. survive him.  The 
funeral will take place Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.
