BELL William Henry Harrison Bell, a well known veteran of the Civil war, and father of Lincoln S. Bell, of 211 Coleridge avenue, Llyswen, died a 2:05 o'clock yesterday afternoon. Mr. Bell was a native of Brookville, Jefferson county, and was born January 17, 1840, the son of the late Daniel M. and Mrs. Martha Bell, both deceased. He was twice married, his second wife preceding him to the grave in February 1921, and since that time has made his home with his son in Llyswen. Mr. Bell served practically the entire duration of the war, enlisting at Blairsville, Pa. He was assigned to Company E, 11 Pennsylvania reserves, and participated in a number of the major battles during the strife. Of the original members of Company E. Mr. Bell was one of the last survivors. He was a member of the Methodist church of Llyswen and the G.A.R. post No.62 of Altoona. In addition to the son residing at Llyswen, he is also survived by W. H. Bell, of Reynoldsville and Samuel E. Bell, Bowling Green, Ky. One other brother and one sister also survive, S. M. Bell, of Natrona, and Mrs. George W. Larkins, of Ford City, Pa. Funeral services will be conduced at 7:30 o'clock this evening at the son's residence in Llyswen. The Rev. H. J. Schuchart, pastor of the Methodist church of Llyswen will officiate. Interment will be made in Patton tomorrow afternoon. Altoona Tribune, Monday, April 13, 1925
