BENDEN Of 2212 Beale avenue, died at his home at 1.30 o'clock this morning after having been ill for the past month. He was born at Kittanning Point on Oct. 9, 1874, a son of John and Mary (Collins) Benden and had resided for the past forty-three years in Altoona, until recently at 891 Twenty-sixth street. Mr. Benden was employed as a flagman on the Pittsburgh division. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ann (Kough) Benden; three daughters and one son, Mrs. Mary Frances Snyder of Philadelphia, John David Benden, Miss Florence M. and Miss Elizabeth Jane Benden, at home; one grandchild, three sisters and one brother, Mrs. Alice Parrish, Misses Rose and Mary Benden, all of the city, and Claude Benden of Toronto, Canada. Mr. Benden was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic church and of the Knights of Columbus. Friends are being received at the N. A. Stevens mortuary. BENDEN - The funeral of James H. Benden of 2212 Beale avenue will be held at 10 o'clock Friday morning at Our Lady of Lourdes church. Interment in St. Patrick's cemetery, Gallitzin. Friends are being received at the N. A.
