HILDA I. BENDER

Of 53 Duquesne St., Columbiana Ohio, formerly of Williamsburg died at 
12:10 a.m. today, Aug. 1, 1978, in Salem City Hospital. Mrs. Bender 
retired as a teacher from Leetonia. New Springfield and Greenfield 
School systems. She was born Nov. 14, 1892, in Williamsburg, and [a] 
daughter of James C. and Lavenia (Nepper) Isenberg, and married C. 
Edward Bender, who died in 1951. Surviving are two children, Edward R. 
of Lisbon, Ohio, and James H. of Columbiana; a grandchild, two great-
grandchildren and a brother, Karl of Philipsburg. Mrs. Bender was a 
member of the First Presbyterian Church, Columbiana, and a Sunday 
school teacher, she was also a member of Sorosis Club, Order of the 
Eastern Star, Columbiana, Columbiana Music Study Club and Association 
of Retired Teachers, local and state. She was a graduate of Akron 
University.
