All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ BENDER Ralph Neilson Bender died at his home in Claysburg on Wednesday afternoon after a lingering illness from typhoid fever, that extended over a period of five weeks. He was aged about 30 years and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Seigle Bender of near Fishertown station. He was married in November, 1906, to Minnie Alice Claycomb, who survives with three small children, Lester, Beulah and Ray. He is also survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Seigle Bender, and the following brothers and sisters: Harry, Rolla, Homer, Harold and Mrs. Mabel McCreary, all of Claysburg, Mrs. Elizabeth Cook of Somerset county, Mrs. Effie Corl of near Cessna, Mrs. Daniel Sleighter of Fishertown and Orlo, Dennis and Sadie, at home. Mr. Bender was a consistent member of the Pine Grove Evangelical church for a number of years. The remains were taken to the home of his parents Thursday morning, from which place the funeral cortege will leave Saturday morning at 9 o'clock and proceed to the St. Clairsville Reformed church, [where] services will be held.
