The deceased was born at Pennsylvania Furnace, on January 10, 1861, and at death was aged 39 years, 9 months and 9 days. December 20, 1880, he was married to Miss Sarah Sharp, of Tyrone, who, with the following children, survive him: Mable, Florence, Walter, Nell and Esther Benn, all at home. Five sisters and one brother also survive, viz.: Mrs. Porter Bateman and Mrs. Hayden Gallagher, of Tyrone; Mrs. John Points, of Graysville; Mrs. W. H. Derman, of Pittsburg; Mrs. Wilson McManana, of the west, and Jeremiah Benn, of Roaring Spring. The deceased was a fireman at the paper mill, a member of the Paper Mill Relief and of East Tyrone council, Jr. O.U.A.M. Funeral services will be held in the Second Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Joseph W. Deavor, Ph.D. Interment to follow in Grandview cemetery.
