JOSEPH LINCOLN BENN

Died of pneumonia at his home, in Tyrone, yesterday morning.  The deceased 
was born at Pennsylvania Furnace, on January 10, 1861, and at death was aged 
39 years, 9 months and 9 days.  December 20, 1880, he was married to Miss 
Sarah Sharp, of Tyrone, who, with the following children, survive him: 
Mable, Florence, Walter, Nell and Esther Benn, all at home.  Five sisters 
and one brother also survive, viz.: Mrs. Porter Bateman and Mrs. Hayden 
Gallagher, of Tyrone; Mrs. John Points, of Graysville; Mrs. W. H. Derman, of 
Pittsburg; Mrs. Wilson McManana, of the west, and Jeremiah Benn, of Roaring 
Spring.  The deceased was a fireman at the paper mill, a member of the Paper 
Mill Relief and of East Tyrone council, Jr. O.U.A.M.  Funeral services will 
be held in the Second Methodist church tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock, 
conducted by Rev. Joseph W. Deavor, Ph.D.  Interment to follow in Grandview 
cemetery.
