Bennett, a citizen of Juniata borough, died of peritonitis Monday at 12:28 p.m. in the Altoona hospital. The deceased was on Saturday evening stricken with an acute suffering with gall stones and the peritonitis was the result of a perforation of the gall bladder. Mr. Bennett was born April 19, 1857, reaching an age of almost 58 years. He resided at 921 Second avenue, Juniata, at the time of his death and in the bereaved home survives his widow, Mrs. Margaret Bennett. Also surviving are five children: Mrs. Mary Saxon, of Snow Shoe; Mrs. Mabel Maurer, of Tyrone; H. R. and J. H. Bennett, of Juniata. The remains were place in the hands of Undertakers Roher & Mauk and were viewed in their parlors until noon toway. The body was on Tuesday brought to Tyrone and here funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at the home of a son B. F. Bennett, of Lincoln avenue, and Twenty-Third street. The service will be conducted by Rev. E. G. Sawyer of the First United Brethren church of Tyrone, the deceased having been an active and consistent member of this congregation.
