Mr. Joseph Beyers, a well-known farmer residing at Henrietta, died yesterday afternoon, aged 72 years. Mr. Beyers had been failing for some time past. He was highly respected among the people of the Cove, and by those elsewhere who enjoyed his acquaintance. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Tuesday, January 27, 1880 FUNERAL OF JOSEPH BEYERS. Joseph Beyers, whose death was noted in yesterday's TRIBUNE, has been an invalid for a number of years and confined to his bed for some fourteen or fifteen months past, during the greater part of which time he has had no use of his limbs. His funeral will take place to-day (Wednesday) at 10 o'clock, from the Reformed church, near Millerstown. Morning Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Wednesday, January 28, 1880 FUNERAL OF JOSEPH BYERS. The funeral of Joseph Beyers took place Wednesday at 10 o'clock, from the Reformed Church at Millerstown. The services were conducted by Revs. Jacob and Simon Snyder, of the Mennonite Church, of which denomination the deceased was a consistent member for many years. So large a number of sorrowing relatives and friends were in attendance, many of which could not gain admittance to the church. After the delivery of impressive discourses by the Revs. Snyder, his remains were borne to the Nicodemus graveyard, and deposited by the side of his wife, there to await "the sound of the last trump, when the sea and earth shall give up their dead."
