Again we are called on to chronicle the death of another of the old inhabitants and a devoted servant of the Lord, in whom she trusted with all Christian resignation and faith in Him who died for all. Yesterday morning at 9? o'clock the soul of Mrs. John S. Biddle was borne away by God's holy messengers to her home prepared for her in heaven. About ten days ago Mrs. Biddle suffered a slight stroke of paralysis, from which she gradually sank until death claimed her. Mrs. Biddle survived her husband, J. S. Biddle, about five years, and was aged 70 years. She was born on what was known then as the Everhart farm, where Mr. Calvin Sorrick now resides, spending all her life within a boundary of two miles, dying within that distance of her birthplace. She was one of the oldest members of the Clover Creek Lutheran church, and of all who constituted the original members of that church she and Mr. George Clapper are all, and in the death of Mrs. Biddle, Mr. Clapper is left the only surviving member. Funeral to-morrow - Thursday - at 8.30 a.m. Interment in the Clover Creek Lutheran cemetery. Mrs. Biddle's maiden name was Catherine Everhart.
