DEATH'S DOINGS.
The Grim Messenger Summons a Number of People Away.

Mrs. Louisa Birk, formerly Louisa Shomberg, died at her mother's
residence, 1206 Fifth avenue, on Sunday afternoon at 1.40 o'clock,
aged 20 years and 8 months.  The deceased enjoyed the acquaintance of
a very large circle of friends, and by her pleasant disposition won
for herself the respect and esteem of all, and the announcement of her
death has case a gloom in every household in which she had been
numbered as a friend.  She leaves one child, a little daughter, aged
about 2 years, her husband having died on March 25, 1884.
