BLACK Mr. Black, 84, of Claysburg RD 1 died at 10:10 p.m. Sunday, July 21, 1991, at the United Presbyterian Home, Hollidaysburg. Mr. Black was a self-employed farmer and a representative for Agway Feed Company for many years. He was born Nov. 11, 1906, in Greenfield Township, the son of Jeremiah and Ellen (Musselman) Black, and Aug. 16, 1934, in Newry, married Margaret S. Smith. Surviving are his wife, a son, Jerry E. of Claysburg RD 1; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a niece, Alice Reed, of Altoona, who was raised in the home. Mr. Black was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Claysburg. He was also a member of the Claysburg Volunteer Fire Company, Woodbury Lodge F&AM and the Claysburg Union Cemetery Association. Mr. Black also served on the Claysburg-Kimmel School Board and the Blair County Board of Education for many years. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Marvin C. Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg. BLACK - Services for Chester R. Black of Claysburg RD 1 will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Marvin C. Leslie Funeral Home, Claysburg, by the Rev. Larry H. Louder.
