ELLEN BLACK Widow of Jerry Black, died at her home, two miles southwest of Claysburg, at 12.15 o'clock this morning of a complication of diseases. She was born at Klahr on June 12, 1863, a daughter of Jacob and Leah (Klotz) Musselman. Her husband died twenty-one years ago. Surviving are seven sons and two daughters, William A. and Ray M. Black of the city, Mrs. John Royer of Orbisonia, Mrs. Blair Weyant of Sproul, John W., Chauncey F., Charles O., and Amos G. Black, all of Claysburg, and Chester R. Black, at home. Twenty- eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and one sister, Mrs. Julian Lingenfelter of Claysburg, also survive. Mrs. Black was a lifelong member of the Claysburg Lutheran church. Funeral services will be held at 2.30 o'clock Sunday afternoon in the Claysburg Lutheran church. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. Altoona Mirror, June 22, 1934, page 32, column 2
