BLACK Of Claysburg, R.D., died at 6 o'clock this morning at his home following an illness of several months. Mr. Black was born Feb. 5, 1888, in Claysburg, a son of Jeremiah and Ellen (Musselman) Black. His wife, the former Bessie Boyer of Claysburg, whom he married in January, 1910, died in 1935. Surviving are seven children, Ronald of Pontiac, Mich., Mrs. Ned McDonald of Imler, R.D., Mrs. Shimer Allison, Leroy, Mrs. Kenneth Weyant and Mrs. Galen Dively of Claysburg, R.D., and Dorsey, at home; 21 grandchildren and four brothers and one sister, Mrs. Martha Weyant of Sproul, Ray of Altoona and Amos, Charles and Chester of Claysburg, R.D. A truck farmer in the Claysburg area for the past 40 years, Mr. Black was a former county Republican committeeman and Greenfield township road supervisor. He was a member of the Lower Claar Church of the Brethren. Friends will be received at the home after 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
