All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ BLACK Mrs. Wilma Black, wife of Howard Black, died at 10.30 o'clock Thursday night at the family home at Klahr, 3 miles west of Claysburg, of pneumonia, following influenza. She was ill but a short time. Mrs. Black was the daughter of William, deceased, and Sarah Meyers and was born near Claysburg, Jan. 23, 1889. She was united in marriage with Howard Black, Feb. 1, 1906, at Cumberland, Md. Surviving are the husband and three sons, Ralph, aged 10 years; Leon, aged 8 years, and Guy, aged 2 years; an infant son, William, preceded her to the grave Wednesday. Her mother, Mrs. Sarah Meyers, of Claysburg, and these brothers and sisters, survive: Calvin Meyers and Mrs. Josiah Burket, of Altoona; George Meyers and Mrs. Jessie Berkheimer, of Roaring Spring, Mrs. Heusten Croyle, Mrs. Gilmore Feathers and Mrs. Harry Dively, of Claysburg, and Mrs. Ross Fickes, of King, Bedford county. She was a member of the Greenfield Reformed church. The funeral will be held at the home Sunday morning at 10 o'clock, by her pastor, Rev. Calvin Skyles, assisted by Rev. F. C. Schrader.
