EDGAR BLACKBURN

Of 916 Hickory St., Hollidaysburg, formerly of 1904 3rd Ave., Altoona, 
died at 11:25 a.m. yesterday in Mercy Hospital, after a brief illness. 
He was born at McKee Jan. 1, 1884, a son of Henry M. and Elizabeth 
(Himes) Blackburn, and married Sara L. McKinstry, who died Nov. 7, 
1965. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Meta Moore of Altoona; one 
granddaughter and three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Hepner of Altoona, Mrs. 
Clara Sandrus of Janesville and Mrs. Pearl Oswalt of New Iberia, La. 
Mr. Blackburn was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He retired as a 
machinist from the Pennsylvania Railroad. Friends may call at the 
Lafferty Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today.
