Blackburn Retired Penn'a Employee Died At Penn'a Avenue Home E. N. Blackburn, well-known retired Pennsylvania Railroad Company switchman, died at his home, 1350 Pennsylvania Avenue, Tyrone on Saturday evening at 5:30 o'clock of carcinoma. Mr. Blackburn had been ill with the disease the past eleven months. E. N. Blackburn was born April 24, 1859, at Martinsburg, Ohio, the son of the late William and Cynthia Philips Blackburn. On April 24, 1891, at Philipsburg, he was united in marriage with Miss Ida Hames, of Snow Shoe Intersection who, with one sister Miss Vada Blackburn, of Martinsburg, Ohio, survive to mourn his death. Mr. Blackburn was a retired switchman on Philadelphia Terminal Division, P. R. R. He was a member of the P. R. R. Retired Men's Association of Tyrone. Brief funeral services were held at the Fuoss and Glass Funeral Parlors on Sunday afternoon, conducted by Reverend J. S. Colledge, pastor of the First United Brethren Church. This morning the body was taken to Martinsburg, Ohio, where other services will be held on Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock. Interment will follow at Martinsburg.
