BLACKBURN Of 3829 Calvert St., N.W., Washington, D.C., a native of Altoona, died Feb. 1 in Providence Hospital, Washington, after a brief illness. He had been an electrical engineer with Potomac Electric Power Company's commercial cooking bureau since he left Altoona 27 years ago. Mr. Blackburn was graduated from Altoona High School in 1924 and from the University of Pittsburgh in 1932. He was active in the Washington Restaurant Association, a member of William R. Singleton Lodge 30, F&AM, and was head usher at the Lutheran Church of the Reformation. Surviving are his wife, Eva, and a daughter, Katharine, at home; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Blackburn, and a sister, Mrs. Raymond Moore, all of Altoona. Services were held Sunday in Washington with interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Altoona, on Monday. Altoona Mirror, February 6, 1962
