THOMAS IRVIN BLACKBURN

Of 1425 18th Ave., who died at 10.05 yesterday in the Altoona Hospital of 
injured suffered in a fall from a third floor window at his home, was born in 
Hollidaysburg Sept. 23, 1898, a son of William E. and Sarah Frances 
(Robinson) Blackburn. Mr. Blackburn was employed as a clerk in the C.P.R. 
department of the Penelec Company, was a veteran of Army service in World War 
I, a member of the Hollidaysburg American Legion and Heidelberg County Club, 
and of the Methodist faith. His wife, the former Beatrice M. Fletcher, 
survives as do a son and daughter, Mrs. Beverly Gunsallus of the city and 
Thomas of Huntingdon; seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Ethel Confer 
of Ebensburg. Friends will be received at the Axe Funeral Home after 7 p.m. 
tomorrow.
