Blake of East Kettle street, died at 10.45 o'clock last night at the family home of a complication of diseases, following an illness of some months. She was born Nov. 27, 1843, at Mt. Union, the daughter of William and Rebekah Long, and was married twenty years ago in Altoona. Surviving are her husband and two daughters, Eleanor and Virginia, both at home, and a sister, Mrs. Maud Heacox, and two brothers, George and Meade Long, all of Altoona, together with four half-brothers, Arthur Long of Altoona, William Long of North Carolina, Ray Long of Williamsburg and Marvin Long of Mr. Union and three half- sisters of Mt. Union. She was a member of the Third United Brethren church. The funeral will be held on Thursday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock with services at the residence. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. Altoona Mirror, February 2, 1921 2 DEATH SUMMONS COME TO GEORGE LONG FAMILY Death visited twice within a period of twelve hours in the family of Mr. and Mrs. George Long of 111 Lexington avenue, Mr. Long's sister dying on Thursday night at East End, while Mrs. Long's mother died in the city yesterday morning. Mr. Long is one of two surviving brothers of Mrs. Lulu Blanche Blake of East Kettle street, the latter dying at 10.45 o'clock Tuesday night after a long illness. Less than twelve hours later, or at 10.30 o'clock yesterday morning, Mrs. Catharine H. Grove, mother of Mrs. Clara Long, died at her home, 313 Second street, after an illness of two days. The funeral of Mrs. Blake will be held on Friday afternoon at 2.30 o'clock from the residence. Interment will be made in Rose Hill cemetery. The funeral of Mrs. Grove will be held Friday evening at 8 o'clock, with services at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Maggie Secrest, of 313 Second street. The remains will be taken to Gilboa, Huntingdon county, for interment on Saturday. In yesterday's account of Mrs. Blake her age was given incorrectly. Instead of being born in 1843, her age was 43.
