BLOOM Mrs. Bloom, 70, of Brush Run Apts., Hollidaysburg, died unexpectedly at 7 a.m. Saturday. April 9, 1983, in her home. Mrs. Bloom was a retired teacher, having taught most recently in the Altoona Area and Hollidaysburg Area school districts. She also taught privately. She was born Feb. 20, 1913, in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Max and Helen Markowitz, and married Dr. Julius Bloom, who died July 28, 1963. Surviving are three children: Naomi of Palo Alto, Calif.: Daniel E. of Arlington, Mass., and Jonathon of Ebensburg. Also surviving are five brothers and sisters: Maurice Markley and Harry Markley of Pittsburgh, Dr. Ralph Markley of New Castle, Rose Markley of Van Nuys, Calif., and Mrs. Ethel Kleinman of New York. Mrs. Bloom was a member of Temple Beth Israel, where she belonged to the Sisterhood and Hadassah. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Nathan Kaber Hall, Temple Beth Israel. Arrangements by the E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home, Broad Avenue. BLOOM - Services for Ruth M. Bloom of Brush Run Apts., Hollidaysburg, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Temple Beth Israel, by Dr. Nathan Kaber. Interment in Mount Sinai Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to time of services in the Nathan Kaber Hall, Temple Beth Israel. Arrangements by E. Merrill Smith Funeral Home Inc., Broad Avenue.
