All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ ALFRED BLUMENTHAL Alfred Blumenthal, one of Altoona's well known young men, died at 8 o'clock yesterday morning at his home in the Blumenthal apartments, 1206 Fourteenth avenue, after an illness of one week, of pneumonia. He was a son of Julius and Lena Blumenthal and was born in this city 27 years ago and resided here all his life. He was actively associated with his brothers, the members of the wholesale cigar firm of J. Blumenthal's Sons, and is survived by his parents, two brothers, J. M. and Joseph, of Altoona, and one sister, Mrs. W. H. Hahn, of Pittsburg. He was a member of the Hebrew Reformed church. The funeral, which will be private, will take place on Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Friends will omit flowers. Altoona Tribune, Altoona, Pa., Saturday Morning, December 30, 1916
