All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/blair/ _________________________________________ Charles William Bonsell Mr. Bonsell, of 205 West 6th Street, Tyrone, died unexpectedly at 6:42 p.m. Wednesday, May 19th, 1993 at Tyrone Hospital. Mr. Bonsell retired as sergeant first class from the Army on May 31, 1969, after 24 years service. He was born January 22, 1923, in Tyrone, the son of Charles Miley and Airie Celestial (Patterson) Bonsell. He married Mary M. Harding on August 31, 1946, in Coalport. Surviving are his wife, five grandchildren: Catharine Allen in Louisiana, Clarence W. Jr. at home, Betty Jane Messina of Chambersburg, Rhonda Fulmer of Hatfield and Jennifer Cuttingham of Hagerstown, Maryland, and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother and two sisters: Kenneth of Hollidaysburg, Elda Mae Swanner of Annapolis, Maryland, and Margaret Stimer of Tyrone. Mr. Bonsell was an Army veteran of World War II, the Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He received the Bronze Star and The Purple Heart medals. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 today at Daniel Myers Funeral Home. BONSELL - Services for Clarence W. Bonsell Sr. of 205 West Sixth Street, Tyrone, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Daniel R. Myers Funeral Home, by the Reverend Carl A. Alexander. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery.
